Good Earth Sustainable Homes
We are excited to share with you our proposal for affordable net-zero energy homes to be built right here in our hometown of Milwaukee Wisconsin. I grew up locally and have dreamed of the opportunity to create affordable sustainable homes that could make the City of Milwaukee one of the most sustainable cities in the world. On the pages that follow you will find a description of how we believe we can help make that a reality. We are a team of local developers, architects, and builders that are ready to make a statement to the world right here at home.
Our homes will be the most sustainable, healthy, and affordable homes on the planet. We believe that in order for sustainable building to be viable it must be affordable. We will provide housing solutions to all members of our community and particularly those who are in need most, such as lower income and disadvantaged members of our community. These properties will provide clean healthy places to live, while putting money back in peoples pockets through reduced energy and utility bills. These properties will produce more than they use and give back more than they take.
Mission
Create the most affordable and sustainable homes on the planet that can be fully deconstructed, recyclable, and healthy for both humans and the planet.
Vision
Our sustainable homes will be built using metal shipping containers as the major framework. They are built to stack, air and water tight, and can be recycled. They will be built on helical piles so that there is minimal soil work, reduced or eliminated use of concrete, and highly efficient installation. We will factory build our containers, to reduce waste, maximize efficiency and control costs.
The homes will then be shipped to the site using electric trucks where installation can be as rapid as the assembly line factory. Our goal is to be able to build a complete home from conception to inhabitance in two weeks. Considering a typical home can take 7 months this is a monumental feat that will revolutionize the home building industry.
These properties will be net-zero, with on site alternative energy generation and will be built entirely electric. Our homes will use sustainable and healthy building products to ensure both our dwellers happiness and our planets.
