A New Coat

New Exterior Paint

Affectionately dubbed the "Prince House" by the neighborhood because of its purple paint we decided to give it a fresh look with new exterior paint that accentuates its Victorian history.

Fresh Entry

Reclaimed wood and ECOS Paints

A bright and fresh entry replaced the colorful green one that we found. The entryway bench was made out of the wood from the old closet. Hooks were used from other parts of the house. All paint was ECOS health focused Low VOC paint.

A New Lease

Refinished Original Hardwoods

The entire second floor and stairs had original hardwoods that were heavily worn. We refinished all of them and gave them a natural color to bring out their beauty.

Every Drop Counts

 An Eco Conscious Bathroom

The bathroom for this project consisted of a complete gut and remodel. The floors came from The Community Warehouse an excess building materials supplier who's mission helps the community.  Toilet, Faucet, and shower fixtures were all low flow Watersense products. Subway tile used in the shower was from a green building council member. Paint was ECOS Health focused paint. New energy efficient vent fan and lighting.

Additional Remodel Information

The entire home was painted with ECOS health focused paint. A new nest learning thermostat was installed to help make the home more efficient and smart. A whole house heavy metals water filter was installed to removed lead as the city supply mains that feed the house are still lead. New carpet for the living room and reclaimed building material for kitchen and dining room floors. New LED lighting throughout. Energy star dishwasher and hood fan installed in the kitchen. Sustainably sourced butcher block counter tops. Ikea forest council certified cabinets. EPA watersense faucet. As much reclaimed wood that was taken out of the remodel was reused to minimize the need for additional products.
